In 1992, he won the "Best Soloist" award at the “Gran Prix du Jazz" (Aosta, Italy). In 1993 (at 23 years of age), he participated in the "Eddie Lang Festival" contest in Monteroduni (the most important competition for guitarists in Italy), winning the first prize as best Italian jazz guitarist. He has toured Europe, Asia and America and played in over 40 albums with countless musicians. In 1995, Paolo Conte called him to play in several world tours; this association lasted until 2004 and also resulted in four cds. From 1998 to 2003, he played with Billy Cobham's bands in different acoustic and electric contexts. Among his collaborations: Paolo Conte, Billy Cobham, Marcio Montarroyos, Danny Gottlieb, Gary Husband, Enrico Rava, Bob Mover, Daniel Humair, Flavio Boltro, Adrienne West, Dado Moroni, Tullio De Piscopo, Franco Cerri, Albert "Tootie" Heath, Red Holloway, Plas Johnson, Franco Ambrosetti, Rosario Giuliani, Carl Anderson, Paolo Fresu. He has played in several festivals and venues: London Royal Festival Hall, Sao Paulo SESC, Kolkata Jazz and Beyond, New York Beacon Theatre, Nice Jazz Fest., Rio de Janeiro Centro Justica Federal, San Francisco Jazz Fest., Den Hag, Los Angeles Ucla, Bruxelles Jazz Fest, Umbria Jazz, Paris JVC, etc. In May 2000, he was selected to play with ONJ (Orchestre National du Jazz). In 2003, he was the only Italian guitarist participating in the cd Voodoo crossing: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix, also featuring Robben Ford, Steve Lukather, Hiram Bullock, Larry Corryell and many others. Lately, he has done a tour in India, in Brazil and in Ecuador with his trio. He has participated in several TV shows and has been involved in film music. Today, he plays in different own lineups of jazz, latin jazz and jazz rock, with acoustic and electrics guitars, and is jazz guitar teacher at the conservatories of Genoa and Cuneo.



Graduated in principal piano from Conservatory N. Paganini in Genoa, she undertook the study of singing at "Spazio Musica" summer seminars, during which she received a scholarship on special mention from Steve Lacy in 1986. Currently, she is carrying out an intense concert activity, integrating with extreme flexibility into different formations spacing from jazz to contemporary music. She has collaborated with important Italian and foreign musicians: R. Zegna, L. Bonafede D. Moroni, M. Waldron, E. Pieranunzi, S. Scott, M. Damerini, P. Leveratto, H. Texier, R. Bonaccorso, F. Di Castrates, Alfred Kramer, J. Cobb, T. De Piscopo, B. Braye, J. Chambers, R. Gatto, G. Casati, P. Tonolo, B. Mover, E. Cisi, C. Lugo, A. Dersy, G. Basso, Carl Anderson. She took part in national jazz festivals in Siena, Milan, L'Aquila, Jesi, Palermo, Aosta, Finale Ligure. In 1995, she worked as pianist in some performances of the musical An American in Paris with R. Casale and R. Paganini; in summer as vocalist in the first absolute of "Mozart in jazz" with the soloists of the Carlo Felice of Genoa. She collaborated with the RAI for the program Stereo Jazz 1. Her first album, Nomos, of which she is both lyricist and composer, won a SIAE prize. Then she played in Philology, a live record with Mal Waldron. In 1997 she took part in the tour "Anime Salve" of Fabrizio De André and to his theatrical tour, during which the CD and the video of the concert were recorded. In October 1997 she participated in the Premio Tenco of Sanremo. In 1998, 1999 and 2000 she was invited by the Duke University of North Carolina on the occasion of the Durham Jazz Festival, where she performed as singer and pianist. In 2001, she recorded the cd Odla with G. Cables in the United States, where she made a tour, also singing at the famous 'Smoke ' in New York. She holds master classes on Vocal Care at Artec in Milan and she holds workshops all over Italy. Since 2003, she has been teaching “vocalità afroamericana, Laboratorio d’assieme, Anatomia e fisiologia della voce” and “ Ear training” at Conservatorio Ghedini in Cuneo. Winner of 1st Italian Jazz Awards 2007 as best Italian Jazz singer.
